Hello and Welcome!

Ahhh, a new year, a new blog! Hi there, my name is Stephanie and I love vintage. I'm starting this blog as a way to share and learn more about all the vintage treasures I find. I'll also throw in some other inspiring bits and plenty of eye candy. We all love eye candy.

In case you're interested, I'm a 32 year old stay at home mom of a four year boy who loves dirt and John Deere tractors and a 2 year old daughter who charms everyone she meets and loves to draw.....on everything......like walls.
I'm married to a goood guy and loving dad. Our home,or "Ye Olde Brick" as I like ot call it, was built during the Civil War. It is the source of endless love and frustration. More on the house later.
I have always loved old things. I mean really. I was the eight year old who had strong opinions on preserving old homes and who'd rather go to the living history museum than an amusement park.
So now I run an Etsy shop where I can share and sell all the great old goodies I find. I get to snatch up all the treasures I come across without my husband threatening to throw me out for bringing home more "junk".
I'm just restocking the shop honey. I promise not to pimp my shop...too much.
Oh, and I also have another Etsy shop selling pure soy candles, tarts, lip balms, lotions, roll on perfume, etc. that I make in my kitchen.

Alright then, let's get started! A little inspiration!

I just photographed a small lot of vintage costume jewelry for my shop. One item was this tiny teapot charm that is ridiculously cute. Everything is cute in miniature. Well almost.

But first, a bit of background. Charms are not always just meaningless trinkets. There is actually a very interesting and long history behind them. They can tell a story, protect the wearer, serve as a reminder. Check out this article on a brief history on this diminutive jewelry. My Mothers Charms

And it comes with three vintage brooches!

Some other sweet charms..

This is awesome although these old scuba helmets always scare the heck outta me.
                          But this is just cool.

Think I'll sit in my tiny chair and pour from my tiny teapot.

                                                Perfect companion to my teapot!

These are insanely awesome.

So cute! And you get five of them!
